Platz is a company with almost 140 years of experience. Founded in 1864 it produced the world's first back-fastened pant protection spray. It can still be seen in the Deutsches Museum in Munich.

In addition, plant protection products notwithstanding, a small but fine plant grew within the company, namely, high pressure technology. As early as 1958 a first high-pressure device was produced. In the middle of the nineteen-sixties cleaning devices for breweries came onto the market.

About 30% of turnover is exported. Importers in EEC countries, in the Eastern block as well as in Asia supply customers in their areas. Inland, Platz sells via regional representatives and contract dealers, as well as via a comprehensive customer service which is available to customers at all times.

Over the said many years the image of Platz has changed from a manufacturer of devices to a supplier of systems. In the forefront are now stationary cleaning systems with integrated proven Platz high- and medium-pressure pumps. It can be seen in the two pictures, which follow how the Platz high-pressure cleaners have developed over time, from the first HD device in 1958 to the present.

At the end of 2001 we were able to move into our new office complex with an adjoining production hall in Beilstein.
Beautiful Beilstein lies in the Bottwartal about 30 km north of the Provincial capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart.

Platz pumps which have been well-known and proven for decades are now being produced in the main location at Beilstein. The marketing and development departments have been strengthened and service expanded by the recruitment of additional personnel.
